The John & Robin de Laeter Scholarship 2011 (Australia )



The scholarship is designed to enable students studying science to access working scientists, educators, communicators and technicians through the auspices of the Gravity Discovery Centre(GDC). In particular, the scholarship is designed to develop skills in exhibit development and creation by enabling scholarship winners to create an exhibit that will be permanently located at the GDC.

The GDC has established this scholarship for tertiary science students to recognize the huge contribution to science education in Western Australia made by Professor John de Laeter and his wife Robin.

Eligibility : Applications will be sought from students enrolled at either the University of Western Australia or Curtin University who : 
are undergraduate students studying science or science related courses, or postgraduate students with a science or science related degree;
have an interest in communicating science ideas to others;

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships



The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship (Vanier CGS) was created to attract and retain world-class doctoral students and to establish Canada as a global centre of excellence in research and higher learning. It is worth $50,000 per year for three years and is available to both Canadian and international PhD students studying at Canadian universities.

To be considered for a Vanier CGS, you must:
be nominated by only one Canadian university, which must have received aVanier CGS allocation;
be seeking financial support to pursue your first doctoral degree (or combined MA/PhD or MD/PhD);
intend to pursue, in the summer semester or the academic year following the announcement of results, full-time doctoral (or combined MA/PhD or MD/PhD) studies and research at the nominating university;
have achieved a first-class average, as determined by your university, in each of the last two years of full-time study or equivalent And vanier.gc.

Victoria Master's Scholarship (New Zealand)


For the purpose of encouraging postgraduate research at Victoria, the University offers scholarships to students about to commence a full-time, research-focussed Master's degree.
Over thirty scholarships shall be offered, consisting of a $15,000 stipend, plus domestic fees. International students, other than those from Australia will be liable to pay the difference between the full international student fee and the domestic fee.

Eligibility and selection criteria : Only those students enrolled solely for a 90 point thesis or above are eligible to apply. In some cases this will be Part 2 of a two-year Master's degree and will usually have the course code 591. Students who are enrolled in Master's degree programmes that have thesis or research components of less than 90 points, or who elect not to enrol for the solely by thesis option, but instead enrol in taught courses, internships, performance, portfolio, practicum, or other programme options, are eligible to apply for the Victoria Graduate Scholarships. Creative Writing candidates are eligible to apply for the Master's [by thesis] Scholarship.

SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS (Australia)




The University of Sydney takes great pleasure in announcing the Sydney Achievers International Scholarships for new international students commencing at the University in 2012.
course level UNDERGRADUATE  & POSTGRADUATE.
Eligibility and selection criteria : 
UNDERGRADUATE:
Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or an international senior secondary qualification accepted by the University with an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 98* or equivalent.
POSTGRADUATE:
Applicants must have completed the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor degree qualification with a minimum high distinction average as based on the Australian grading system. Students who have already commenced postgraduate studies, or students transferring from other postgraduate programs are not eligible.
Benefits
UNDERGRADUATE:
30 scholarships of AUD$10,000 each per annum, available for a maximum of three years, (total value AUD$30,000) for any Undergraduate program offered at the University of Sydney (subject to the recipient maintaining satisfactory academic progress each year). 

POSTGRADUATE:
30 scholarships of AUD$10,000 each, available as a one-off award (total value AUD$10,000) for any Postgraduate Coursework program offered at the University of Sydney.

Helicopter Foundation International (HFI) is pleased to announce the 2012 Bill Sanderson 
Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Scholarship Award Program.

Eligibility: Applicants should be about to graduate from an FAA approved Part 147 AMT School, or a recent recipient (within the last two years) of an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.  All FAA written and practical exams must be successfully completed prior to attending the chosen school (not necessarily prior to applying for the scholarship).  International applicants should have their respective country’s FAA equivalent tests completed.

International Postgraduate Research Scholarship,Australia



Awards are available for a period of 2 years for a master level research degree and 3 years for doctoral research degrees.
